Soft upper
When the Kobe 8 was first released in December 2012, we used technical mesh in the minimalist basketball shoe, which was a first in the company's history. The technical mesh in the upper is soft and flexible, wrapping around your foot and adapting to its shape.
Cut and movement
Herringbone traction on the forefoot and side of the heel gives you that sharp, squeaky grip you can hear when you're making difficult movements and cuts.
